Believer magazine. Never heard of it, to be honest. But they have great taste in music as evident in the CD compilation that accompanied their 2007 music issue.
OK, just GOOGLED “Believer magazine”. They are MCSWEENEY’S publication. Which explains why I’ve never heard of it. Mcsweeney’s is way out of my cool league.
HOPEFULLY, one day, I will be cool enough that my cool friends will stop throwing rocks at me and tell me about cool things like this. Sigh.

When I was working at the RECORD STORE back in the day we had this policy that we couldn’t hold records for customers longer than three days. That was it, we’d had enough carrying your crap you ain’t gonna buy. We didn’t bend the rule for anyone.
Well, except for DAM. That fool would have us hold like 8 records and we always held until he came back. It might take a couple weeks but Dam always came back for those records, new exactly what he had and how many. The man loves to dig. REALY LOVES TO DIG. And that earns you rep in the record store.
It makes me feel like all is right in the world seeing Dam come up right now. The machine doesn’t always allow for good cats to get theirs. But on top of doing what he loves and in a way that no one else is doing he is also the coolest motherfucker you will meet.

Spending a good time of our youth in Hawaii, guava juice has a special place in out hearts. Never did it taste any better than in this mix, KID KANEVIL’S ode to the summer.
It’s not usually our business to post mixes put together by people wearing face paint but then, I guess, there is always the exception. And that exception is TELEPATHE.
Although wearing glittery face paint and being in an indy band from BKLYN may not be the most original venture, Telepathe’s music will get the party started EVERY TIME. And this mixtape they put together as a SXSW HORS D’OEUVRE isa special treat teeming with the flavors of BONE THUGS, J DILLA and WARRIOR QUEEN.
We hope this teaches you kids out there not to discriminate. It’s not nice. And you’ll probably miss out on beats, too.

And it’s true. Where is this man’s album? What is the deal with that? But I guess if keeps putting out mixes as good as this we don’t have too much to complain about. Some of us anyway.
To be honest everything I know about ESTONIA I learned in the last 15 minutes through Google and Wikipedia. I’m not proud of that, it’s just the way it is.
The Republic of Estonia has a fervent national soccer fanbase, a very reasonably priced (and hygenic) sex industry, and breed wrestlers who are built for SUMO action. And according to my friends who traveled there last year they also have a fine selection of domestic beers.
Estonia. Doesn’t sound bad, eh? And if the musical tastes of the country are on par with DJ BANDIT, the Estonian DJ who sent us today’s mix, I’m about ready to bounce over there right now.
