
Today is February 29th which by all accounts only happens every four years. Leap year baby. Yeah!
In honor of this tremendous occasion I’m hitting REWIND on the mixtape time machine and taking you back to 1994. A time when things were simpler, when 808’s roamed freely and hip-hop wasn’t all about flossin. Well maybe not that last part. Style has always counted.
This is a KUTMASTA KURT tape from a New Year’s party circa 1994. JR hit me with this tape last weekend after we had finished eating pancakes. Kurt’s funk has been g’d out all over the West Coast hip-hop scene since the mid-80’s and you’ve all heard his production on a little album known as DOCTOR OCTAGON. I still regularly bump his 1998 Master of Illusions single at DJ gigs. Homeboy is pretty much timeless.

Try firefox. It’s probably downloading in explorer too but is just showing a blank screen while it does. These are big files, let it do it’s thing for a while. If that doesn’t work try firefox.
