It’s awesome to think that there is a whole generation of young Americans who have watched THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR exclusively through re-runs and know JAZZ only as Will’s good friend who repeatedly gets thrown out of the house while wearing the same shirt.
Well, MM!!! is here to set the record straight. “Jazz” is non-other than the one and only DJ JAZZY JEFF who beyond hitting on Hillary and getting thrown out by Uncle Phil is also the mastermind behind the rap duo known as DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Please note who’s name comes first.
Overshadowed by his partner’s stratospheric launch into celebrity, Jazzy Jeff is a pioneering and party rocking DJ of the first caliber. He may not be flying around in private jets, sipping Crys and securing movie roles for his son but he will always be a respected innovator of his craft. I’d rather have that over the celebrity anytime. Are you with me?
